A 13 year-old kidnapping victim is found alive after months of captivity. Stories such as this capture the nation’s heart and attention because so often these stories become tragedies. Questions arise in our minds, such as: what happened? how did she get away? how is she coping with the horrors she witnessed? will she ever heal from this ordeal?
